These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of playsinow.com and BC 50/50 lottery services operated by British Columbia Lottery Corporation ("BCLC", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, purchasing tickets, or using any BCLC services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility Requirements

Age Requirement

You must be at least 19 years of age to:

• Register for a PlayNow account
• Purchase BC 50/50 tickets or other lottery products
• Participate in any gaming activities
• Claim prizes

Location Requirement

You must be physically located in British Columbia, Canada, at the time of:

• Account registration
• Ticket purchases
• Gameplay

Self-Exclusion

You are not eligible to use our services if you:

• Are enrolled in BCLC's Voluntary Self-Exclusion program
• Have been banned or suspended by BCLC
• Are an employee or immediate family member of BCLC (certain restrictions apply)

3. Account Registration and Security

Account Creation

When registering for an account, you must:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Use your real name and personal details
• Create only one account per person
• Verify your identity using government-issued ID

Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Logging out after each session

Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms
• You provide false or misleading information
• You engage in fraudulent activity
• Required by law or regulatory authorities

4. BC 50/50 Game Rules

Game Description

BC 50/50 is a raffle-style lottery game where:

• At least 50% of ticket sales go to the prize pool
• The remaining 50% supports BC communities and services
• There is a guaranteed BC winner for every draw
• Draws occur daily at 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM, and 9:00 PM PST

How to Play

1. Purchase tickets at authorized retail locations
2. Each ticket contains a unique 6-digit number
3. Select number of picks (1-15) and consecutive draws (1-10)
4. Wait for the draw results
5. Match all 6 numbers in exact order to win

Ticket Pricing

• 1 pick: $1
• 2 picks: $2
• 3 picks: $3
• 4 picks: $4
• 6 picks: $5 (save $1)
• 15 picks: $10 (save $5)

Prize Claims

Winners must:

• Present original winning ticket
• Provide valid government-issued photo ID
• Claim prize within 52 weeks of draw date
• Complete prize claim forms
• Consent to publication of name and location (as required by law)

5. Financial Transactions

Deposits

For online purchases (where available):

• Minimum deposit: $10
• Maximum deposit: Subject to account limits
• Accepted payment methods: Credit card, debit card, Interac Online, PayPal, WebCash
• Deposits are non-refundable once processed

Withdrawals

Prize withdrawals:

• Must meet minimum withdrawal amounts
• Require identity verification
• May take 3-5 business days to process
• Subject to tax withholding where applicable

Responsible Gambling Limits

You can set:

• Daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits
• Session time limits
• Self-exclusion periods

6. Intellectual Property

All content on playsinow.com, including but not limited to:

• Logos, trademarks, and brand names
• Text, graphics, images, and videos
• Software and code
• Game designs and mechanics

...are the property of BCLC or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
• Use automated systems or bots
• Reverse engineer our software
• Remove copyright or trademark notices

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Engage in fraudulent activity or money laundering
• Use our services for any illegal purpose
• Collude with other players
• Use multiple accounts
• Exploit technical glitches or errors
• Harass or abuse other users or staff
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

No Warranty

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Accuracy of results or information
• Suitability for particular purposes

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BCLC shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits or data
• Service interruptions or technical issues
• Unauthorized access to your account

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Ticket Disputes

In the event of a discrepancy:

• BCLC's official records prevail
• Machine-readable data takes precedence over visual displays
• Damaged or defective tickets may be void

3. Final appeal may be made to the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch

11. Changes to Terms

Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by:

• The laws of British Columbia
• The laws of Canada applicable therein
• The Gaming Control Act and regulations

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any game-specific rules, constitute the entire agreement between you and BCLC regarding your use of our services.
